Not that long ago getting the family together for a Photo session was a well planned, special occasion. Everyone would get dressed up, hair and make up done and the family would have their pictures taken by a professional photographer.
For many families it wasn’t just about getting a nice set of photos but It was a good opportunity to enjoy some quality family time together whilst creating lifelong memories. Much of this has been replaced by countless snapshots on mobile phones that end up on social media for a day or so, earning a few likes and the odd comment then quickly getting pushed out the bottom of the news feed where they fade into insignificance.
With a little bit of planning and preparation we can create a set of family Photographs that you would be proud to hang on your wall, looking your very best and to be enjoyed by you and your family for years to come. Beautiful Photo’s also make great gifts for family members, especially the ones that are hard to buy for.
So why not give us a call and arrange a time to get some new photographs of your family while enjoying some quality time together.

High quality imagery is an extremely important part of any businesses marketing strategy.
Quality photographs can increase sales and the perception of your business, but it has also been shown that low quality images can have the reverse effect, damaging the customers opinion of your business.
People do business with organisations and people they trust. Quality images show your strengths and can help break down barriers.
1. 90% of information transmitted to the brain is visual, and visuals are processed faster in the brain than text.
2. 40% of people will respond better to visual information than plain text.
3. On facebook, photo’s perform best for likes, comments, and shares when compared to text, video and links.
4. Professional images reduce the amount of copy you need in your marketing material.

Below are some photos I took of newly engaged couple Lee & Becky. We had a nice early start at the Darkes Forest Horse ranch which is 1 hour south of Sydney. The plan was to beat the Saturday morning crowds of like minded lovers of horses. Darkes Forest is a lovely location for Photography with the session being made even more fun with the addition of Becky’s horse Brandy, she was such a well behaved horse and didn’t complain once. Thanks to Becky I even got a quick ride of Brandy myself at the end of the morning.

Many years ago an established Photographer friend asked me to be second shooter at a large wedding in the Hunters Hill area. My first job of the day was to cover the grooms prep at his family’s home.
Pascale was getting ready upstairs when I noticed a larger than life childhood portrait at the entrance to his room. I began to set up the shot with the anticipation that he would eventually walk through the doorway and I could capture this transition from boy to man, but instead the grooms Dad entered the room and gave his boy a big hug, a beautiful moment between father and son.
At the time I didn’t have any children but I always liked this shot for it’s journalistic qualities and that special father son moment, however only recently it had an emotional connection when it occurred to me that one day my little boy similar age to the boy in the picture will be all grown up.
Even though it’s still a while off, it reinforces the fact we must embrace every moment and every step of our Children’s journey through life, because in this busy fast paced world we live in time can really slip by.
